Singing bee
Every couple of nights there will be a restaurant on the beach organizing an open air musical night where anyone and everyone are welcome to perform. The quality of the performances varies but generally it's pretty good.
I've always loved to perform - in every kind of way. Singing is definitely something I enjoy, however I have one big default when it comes to singing. I never remember the lyrics. The amounts of times where I've made up the lyrics for a song are countless. Often doing so subconsciously, adding my own words that I think fit well in with the music.
After a few Kingfisher beers, I felt the urge to hit the stage. Any sane person would have let it go as all odds were against me; not knowing a single soul there, not being able to play the guitar myself to accompany me with the singing, not knowing any lyrics or songs in English... Did that stop me - of course not!
Krazy k ceases the opportunity and decides to sings two very simple verses. A cappella. Of a Swedish singer named Lisa Ekdahl. Famous in Sweden but highly anonymous for anyone else.
It's the only song I actually know a couple of verses from, also a song that I need to practice as I am to sing it at my good friend, Birgit's, wedding in a few weeks. Good rehearsal for me, I thought as I headed for the stage, looking out over the crowd of 200 people or so...
It went ok I think. Couldn't really hear myself in the mike, but it felt ok. However, there is nothing that beats a good voice with some nice guitar strings. So last night I went out and bought myself an authentic Indian classical, acoustic guitar!
Determined that next time I go on stage, I can play too!

Hej kära!
Bra gjort!
Du får släppa lös din performingsglädje lite oftare, när du kommit hem.
Det är så många, som blir glada! Kram farmor Solveig
